AVOLA our own selection
Our earliest variety with large seeds for fresh market or processing. SEMO produce own selection of this well-known variety and guarantees its highest genetic purity.
JUNOS
A very early big seeded green pea with a very good eating quality. It has a similar long, pointed pod like Oskar, only more bent. It differs from Oskar by darker color of leaves and pods. Junos is primarily intended for picking of fresh pods. It overripes slowly - therefore harvest can be prolonged. This makes it an ideal variety for home gardeners.
OSKAR
This is our most popular shelling pea variety. It is high yielding, very early and has long pods with large seeds. Ideal for both hand picking and mechanized harvest. This best-selling variety has proven its suitability under very variable climatic conditions and has shown to perform well in Northern Europe as well as in Mediterranean areas.
FELIX
Our long-awaited very early pea of the new generation with a large pod and grains. It is intended for harvesting of whole pods as well as for combine harvesting and subsequent canning or freezing. The important advantage is excellent health including resistance (HR) to Fusarium, Powdery Mildew and PSbMV. FELIX provides stable high yields and tolerance to environmental stresses.
DRAGON
This variety specifies its earliness, stable high yield and good health. Very fine, dark green berries were bred especially for freezing. But its very excellent eating quality will be appreciated by home growers also.
VLADAN
This early variety offers the biggest seed of our whole green pea portfolio. Vladan is very popular thanks to its steady high yield, even in less optimal conditions. Thicker stem, dark leaf, rich root system predetermines this variety also for growing in arid areas.
ANTONY
An early Afila type with perfect health, high stable yield and very uniform pods ripening. This pea of the new generation brings, above all, perfect raw material for canning and freezing. It retains its dark color and sweet taste even after processing. The long pod and large grains certainly attract attention even for harvesting pods for the fresh market. Excellent resistance package - HR: Fusarium, Erysiphe pisi, PSbMV, PEMV and IR: Powdery Mildew.
MEDUZA
MEDUZA is another variety of new generation. It comes from our breeding program too. It is midearly Afila type variety. Perfect pea quality and stable, very high yield even in unfavorable growing conditions. Variety for the production of canned and especially frozen green peas. Its excellent taste and beautiful dark pods will definitely be appreciated also by the fresh market. Extended resistance package - HR: Fusarium, Powdery Mildew, Erysiphe pisi, PEMV and IR: Powdery Mildew.
RADOVAN
A proven and high yielding, mid-early variety. RADOVAN is noted for its high lodging resistance, very popular for processing. This confirmed main season variety means the certainty of enough green peas for processing industry even in seasons with adverse weather.
JOHAN
A stable, high yielding mid-early variety with excellent plant health. JOHAN has shown good results under less favorable weather conditions. Highly recommended for both fresh market (because of its big straight pods) as well as for processing.
Nice resistance package - HR: Fusarium, Erysiphe pisi ans PSbmMV
WIKI
WIKI belongs to mid-early category and is comparable with the older variety DAVID, but outperforms it in both yield and plant health. Straight, long, blunt and dark green pods. Nice variety for fresh market and processing.
Nice resistance package - HR: Fusarium, Erysiphe pisi ans PSbmMV
CETRIS
This variety is medium-late and produces pods with small seeds - true “petit” pois type. Frequent occurrence of three pods per node results in CETRIS being high yielding. Plants are healthy and are resistant to Fusarium wilt.
PS: It is quite logical that freezing factories are enthusiastic about CETRIS. But we were surprised by its success on hobby market. We didn't expect that home growers would be willing to pick its little pods. Its unique sweet taste simply convinced even them.
TWINSET
A mid-late, big seeded variety with large blunt pods. High yields and long, straight pods (9 cm) make TWINSET ideal for both manual and mechanized harvests. Nice resistance package - HR: Fusarium, Erysiphe pisi an PSbmMV.
MORRIS
A mid-late green pea with fine to medium-sized seed and medium-long blunt pods. A key feature is its good plant health. It is totally resistant to Fusarium wilt and Powdery Mildew.
CEDRIK
This variety is medium-late and produces pods with small seeds - true “petit” pois type. Frequent occurrence of three pods per node results in CETRIS being high yielding. Plants are healthy and are resistant to Fusarium wilt.
PS: It is quite logical that freezing factories are enthusiastic about CETRIS. But we were surprised by its success on hobby market. We didn't expect that home growers would be willing to pick its little pods. Its unique sweet taste simply convinced even them.
RADIM
A popular late green pea with large blunt pods, high yield and healthy plants. Proven variety resistant to environmental stresses. Suitable for both types of use - harvesting whole pods for the fresh market and combine harvesting plus all type of processing.
DALILA
A very popular late variety with large blunt pods. Very healthy late green pea. DALILA is best for mechanized harvests and is suitable for freezing and canning.
AMYLAN
This variety is a special Afila type green pea. The pea seed of AMYLAN is intended for harvest in dry maturity when it is high in amylose and suitable for processing in the food industry - for canning, green pea cooking or production of protein pea powder. AMYLAN has a robust plant similar to field pea. However the character of the pod and seeds corresponds to the green pea varieties.
ARTIST (SM 727/10)
Our long-awaited very early pea of the new generton wih a large pod and grains. It is intended for harvesting of whole pods as well as for combine harvesting and subsequent canning or freezing. The important advantage is excellent heatlh including resistance (HR) tu Fusarium, Powdery Mildew and PSbMV. ARTIST provides stable high yields and tolerance to enviromental stresses.
HARDROCK (SM 791/15)
The name says it all. Simply an aggressive and resistant variety that will not leave anyone cold. This new mid-early leaf-type pea variety consistently achieves top yields. Its exceptional resilience ensures outstanding performance across diverse growing seasons and delivers impressive yields even under less favorable conditions. Characterized by vigorous and sturdy growth, HARDROCK maintains excellent plant health. It boasts resistance to Fusaarium oxysporum, Powdery mildew and Pea Seed-borne Mosaic Virus (PSbMV).
